Construction Apprentice

Description

Readyman Services Inc. is looking for a hardworking Construction Apprentice to join our new-build and remodel team. Working on active sites, you will train at the intersection of hands-on building and digital innovation, helping to install plumbing systems from the ground up. You will learn to use digital blueprints, project management apps (like Fieldwire), and modern power equipment. This position is physically demanding but incredibly rewarding, offering a direct pathway to becoming a highly skilled, licensed tradesman.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Field Work

● Assist Lead Plumbers in cutting, measuring, assembling, and installing pipes and plumbing fixtures for new construction and major remodels.

● Dig trenches, carry heavy materials, and operate advanced battery-powered tools and modern installation equipment as directed.

Digital Blueprinting & Job Site Management

● Learn to read digital construction plans and navigate project management software (such as Fieldwire) on company-provided devices.

● Help maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free construction site.

● Coordinate with the Logistics Specialist to receive and track material deliveries on-site.

Qualifications

● Ability to follow strict safety guidelines and work collaboratively with other trades on site.

Service Plumbing Apprentice

Readyman Services Inc. is looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Service Plumbing Apprentice. In this entry-level role, you will work alongside experienced Journeyman Plumbers to learn the trade, assist with service calls, and support our residential and commercial plumbing operations. Key Responsibilities

Field Assistance and Skill Development

● Assist Journeyman Plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.

● Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from the work site.

● Prepare work areas and ensure they are cleaned and restored after jobs are completed.

● Communicate and support customers

● Gain proficiency in using hand and power tools specific to the plumbing trade.

Qualifications

● Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

In this entry-level position, you will be responsible for maintaining our current inventory systems, performing routine stock checks, and accurately building orders for our field teams. This role is stationed within the warehouse and is perfect for a highly reliable individual looking to gain hands-on experience in plumbing knowledge and essential organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

● Maintain the accuracy of the existing inventory system.

● Perform routine cycle counts and inventory checks to ensure physical stock matches system records.

● Assist in receiving incoming shipments, verifying packing slips, and accurately stocking parts and materials.

Order Fulfillment

● Pull items and build orders accurately based on requests from the field team.

● Stage completed orders in designated areas for easy pickup by the Logistics Specialist or field crews.

Warehouse Organization

● Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.

● Ensure all materials, tools, and parts are returned to their proper designated locations.

Qualifications

● Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization.

● Basic computer or tablet skills to navigate our existing inventory management software.

● Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and work safely.

● Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

● No prior extensive warehouse experience required; we are willing to train the right entry-level candidate.
